Originally it was a one-room schoolhouse for 20 to 30 children. It opened in 1903 and closed in the 60’s, adjacent to St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Ratcliff, Arkansas, and after it closed as a school,was used by the church for social activities. When the church planned a new facility, it was moved to Mt. Magazine, south of Paris, Arkansas.
At the new site, it was enlarged and refurbished to become a venue a chapel,It now sits on property adjacent to land in the family for more than one hundred years. Wildwood Chapel is
used for weddings, as well as Parties, Meetings, Family Reunions and Corporate Functions.
If available, we can book the Overlook on Mt. Magazine State Park for private ceremonies, with the reception at either Wildwood Estate or Wildwood Chapel. The grounds at the chapel will accommodate up to 140 guests, and Wildwood Estate will accommodate unlimited outside guests. The view from the Park presents the entire valley below.
